These spiced fried noodles are made from Gram flour with a little rice flour to make them crispy. It is enjoyed all over India, where it is referred to in the North as “Sev” and in the South as “Oma podi” In fact, the word “Oma” refers to the essential spice “Omam” – Carom Seeds. It gives these snacks a dominant taste that makes them addictive.
